My Sense Of Style

A lot of people tell me that they love what I wear. But there have been a good number of people that say the opposite. I just had to ask... does my sense of style turn people off... especially guys? I am pretty much the artsy type- Boho skirts, talking tees, colored Converses, lots of bracelets, crazy socks, etc. I don't care if people don't like my clothes... or at least I didn't for a long time. But I'm getting ready to start high school, and I'm worried that it will scare the guys away. One of my guy friends said to me, "You're not ugly, but your clothes make you less attractive. " Should I tone it down, or just forget about it? Hurry! School starts in a week and a half.

if you feel confident with what you wear then stick with it. "fashion" ,bleh, changes ever 6 months so buying clothes that you think are in style and you don't really like are pointless because 6 months later others will say what you wear is out of style. and you probably won't wear it.. so buy clothes you and wear them!

dont. its you. dont change yourself just because you are scared of what other peopel will think of you. Trust me, i go to high school and the people that ARE like this, no one really notices.

well if you really want to change your self then do it but if you dont then just be your self cuz someone will like you the way you are but if your really really want to change your self consider being prep or something

If you are comfortable with your style, then stick with it! If people want for you to change your style, they aren't your real friends. Real friends accept who you are and your style.

guys that only go for you because of your looks or what you wear are NOT good boyfriends or friends but guys that like you for who you are are the guys you should be with.

dont worry about what other people think i worry about my style too alot and wonder what ppl think of me but i just say hey its me its my style and i should where what i like! so be yourself!

Hey don't worry about what people say about what you wear.There are always going to be people who /hate what you wear.I think you should just keep wearing what you wear.If people don't like your style well that is their problem.If the boys don't like what you wear then they probably aren't ready for a girl who has a mind of her own.Keep doing your thing!

i think you be should really proud of who you are because a lot of people don't have the guts to express who they are. some times my sister doesn't like what i wear but no one can tell what is right or wrong. keep wearing what you like because guys like different things! if you are great person than it is the good guys who don't care about image too much so be proud!!!

I think that you should forget ur friend ever said that. Just cuz he doesnt care about style doesnt mean you should change urself. Guys are attracted to outgoing personalities and confidence. As long as you arent stuck up you wont have a problem which guys

i have kind of the same sense of style- it definetly gets you noticed (both good and bad) but i wouldnt worry about it at all. you'll soon realize EVERYONE has insecurities about what they are wearing-why do u think all those A&F kids look the same everyday... (and no that is not bashing A&F its just an observation)

Your style is all your own. If it makes you comfortable, then good for you. Don't change your sense of style to fit in with others. Your unique and have found a way to stand out. Chances are, those that say they don't like it, are probably jealous because they don't have the attitude or confidence to wear the things that you do, and they know it, so they try and discourage you as an artist.
