I Don't Want School To Make Me Ill Again!
Last year I was addmitted to CAHMS for stress and depression because I had missed months off school because I was ill all the time. Now it's been summer break, and I have felt a lot better, but I am terrified about going back to school because I don't want to be ill all over again! How can I get a more positive outlook on going back to school? It is my final year, and I want to enjoy it. Also, does anyone know and studying tips? I fell behind when I was off school, so I could use some easy studying techniques to catch up and use throughout the year.

well i was out of school for a while last year too. i was sick with mono and did nothing but sleep. and i was also spending alot of time not knowing what was going on at school when i was there. and to make it worse i was tired i still got good grades beacuse my mom went to the school with me to get the school work. but that is some thing you can do if your teachers would let you. and then when i finally got back to school i asked alot of questions if i was confused. and i stayed after school for the after school study period. if your teachers offer it i would stay after with out a doubt it helped me alot i got alot of one on one help by this.
hope this helps.

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble at school. Try http://www.sc  hwablearning.com for study tips. Its for people with learning disablities. I'm not saying you have one though, its just that the site has study tips that are written simple and easy to follow.
I had a bad senior year so i'm not the best person to give advice. I can tell you that it probably won't happen to you. I just had to move alot and had family troubles. I'll tell you what I did to make my year more bearable and pleasant.
1.) Have me time
* Exercise-its reduces stress and boosts your mood, it also makes the blood flow through the brain (which helps make you smarter, believe it or not)

2.) Set goals- have big goals and little goals that reach up to that big goal

3.) Don't set unrealistic expectations - It took me a long time to get this one. Don't put more on yourself then you can handle and don't be overly critical of yourself. It takes time to succeed in things. Not even the really talented can do perfect their first time. It takes time to perfect anything.

4.) Find a therapist you trust that gets you - This is oh so important. It helped me get through school and helped me figure me out. It also gave me strength to keep going. It sounds like you are going through alot right now and a therapist would probably help you. Find one who deals with teens. I got lucky and found a good one. Look around to find one you like. It might take a few tries though, you don't have to spill your guts about everything while your looking. You should be able to tell one that you like when you find one.

5.) Look for good ,quality friendships - Good friendships are hard to find , but they are out there. A friendship should feel natural and you should feel comfortable around a good friend. It is also a mutual relationship. Both you and your friend should call each other and want to hang out. Maybe you already have this ,I don't know. I'm just suggesting.
