Friendless!!! :(

I know this sounds pretty pathetic, but the truth is that I am friendless. I have a couple friends, but one of them is a strict baptist who always has to talk about religion, and the other almost never says anything at all. We never do anything at all together.

My school is crowded with cliques, so it's really hard to make friends. At the beginning of last year (when I first came to the school) everyone was nice to me because I live on a lake in a huge house, and the reality is that my family is pretty well off. Anyway, people were walking all over me, using my boats and ditching me, and overall being brats.

Any tips for making friends? I AM REALLY DESPERATE!!!

go to places and do things that you like. thats how you make friends.

erm i have just joined this website and i understand how you feel i had a best friend called deborah,and anotha best friend called alexia and me and alexia was not really close and deborah left our school and went to holland i miss ehr loads now but we still talk on the phone and on msn. Then me and my other friends alexia wasnt really friends but we got really close and we had loads of sleep overs. and i suppose that got us really close. try and have a sleep over just the 3 of you it might bring you 3 closer. hope this s x

I am hoping in High School the situation will improve. Thanks for your advice tho. I am sorta friends with a guy, but we're not good friends. I mean we talk at school and e-mail each other hw when we're sick, but we're not really good friends.

I WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION WHEN I STARTED HIGH SCHOOL. I HAD NO FRIENDS AND I WAS EATING MY LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA BATHROOM! THAT'S PRETTY SAD. I MADE ALOT OF NEW FRIENDS. RIGHT NOW I'M A SOPHMORE AT EUREKA HIGH SCHOOL IN MISSOURI. I'M FRIENDS WITH MOSTLY ALL THE BLACK KIDS AT MY SCHOOL. ALL YOU HAVE 2 DO IS BE FRIENDLY, AND STICK UP FOR YOURSELF WHEN TIMES ARE ROUGH. WALK UP 2 PEOPLE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW AND SMILE AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF. I KNOW IT'S SEEMS HARD AND YOUR PROBALY SHY. I WAS TOO, BUT I GOT OVER IT. I'M ACTUALLY ALOT MORE POPULAR THIS YEAR THAN I'VE EVER BEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I SIT AT A TABLE AT LUNCH WITH ABOUT 13 OTHER KIDS. WE HAVE TO PUSH THREE TABLES TOGETHER JUST TO FIT US ALL IN THE GROUP. NOBODY GETS LEFT OUT. MOST OF MY FRIENDS ARE GUYS THO. ONLY BECAUSE ALOT OF GIRLS AT THIS SCHOOL ARE HOES AND THEY LIKE TO RUN THEY MOUTH TOO MUCH. ! I'M SERIOUS. JUST TRY IT. IT REALLY WORKS! I PROMISE.
